Jamal was born in Bangladesh in 1993, to a poor, yet very loving, family. He grew up with three brothers and a sister. Although he went to school in his home country, he didn’t have the chance to pursue his education. When faced with the choice of staying in his country or leaving, he chose to settle in Lebanon, to provide for his parents and siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 6:07 PM, on august 4, 2020, Jamal was at the restaurant’s kitchen, few miles away from the Port of Beirut. The explosion wounded him and destroyed everything around him. At 10:00 PM, he was evacuated to Saint George Hospital, in a critical condition. An hour later, he was transferred to Mount Lebanon Hospital where he stayed for 21 days, and underwent multiple surgeries to heal from the shattered glass that hit his thin body. He lost his battle, and passed away on August 25, 2020, succumbing to his wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His corpse remained at the hospital’s morgue until travel paperwork was completed. His dead body was flown to Bangladesh, with other Bangladeshi victims of the Beirut blast. They were received with tears and broken hearts, after a long time apart, they spent in difficulty and hardship, to have their lives taken away from them in a horrific
