Mariam Ammar is a Lebanese housewife born in 1965. At the time of the explosion on August 4, 2020, she was home in Basta Al-Tahta. Her eyes were damaged by the smoke and flying glass, and she currently cannot see clearly. Her hearing also sustained 50% damage, and she now doesn’t hear well. Additionally, her face was directly hit, and an obvious shard of glass still sticks out. She can’t walk right because of her hip injury.
