Cedra and her family fled the war in Syria and moved to Lebanon. On August 4, 2020, everyone was home in Mar Mikhael when they heard fireworks. They went outside to see what happened when, suddenly, a huge explosion rocked the city, and glass and rubble from nearby buildings started falling and Cedra was injured. She passed away on the way to the hospital.
