Jean-Marc loved the city of Beirut and held it close to his heart; he was developing plans for the rehabilitation of the National Museum. On August 4, 2020, he was live streaming the fire at the port of Beirut from the window of his apartment in Mar Mkhayel when everything exploded. Jean-Marc was severely injured and died a few hours later.
