Joe enlisted with the General Security Forces in 2006. On August 4, 2020, he was on duty at the port of Beirut; at 6:00 PM he went into the room to rest before his shift at night. When the explosion happened at 6:07 PM, he was trapped under a wall, dying immediately. His brother built him a memorial monument in his village – Roum.
