In his youth, Robert joined the military to defend his home country, he fought in different wars through the years and sustained multiple injuries, but he always survived. Due to the worsening economic conditions, he was working as a family driver as of late. On August 4, 2020, he stopped at a gas station near the port of Beirut. Robert was injured in the blast as he was hit by a solid object and died immediately.
