Nawal fled the war in her hometown and joined her husband in Lebanon. The latter worked as a concierge in a building in Achrafieh, and she moved in with him and helped him at work. On August 4, 2020, she was killed in the blast while at home. Nawal fled the darkness and hatred in her country and died in a country she sought to save herself.
