Rita Ghattas

Rita Ghattas, Lebanese born in 1974, is a mom of two daughters. On August 4, she was in her house in Fassouh-Achrafiye, and she was walking in her kitchen to prepare a cup of coffee when the explosion hit Beirut. Rita was confused about what had happened, but after six hours, and after she underwent medical tests and imaging, it was confirmed that her hand sustained three fractures and a joint dislocation. Ever since, Rita has been living in pain and she can’t properly lift or move her hand.
