Justice and History Report – 2022

"For the sake of justice… and history": a report by the families of the Beirut port explosion victims and the people affected by it, prepared under the guidance of the Foundation for Human and Humanitarian Rights – Lebanon, documenting what they lived through from 4 August 2020 to early 2022.

It records how the official security services handled the disaster in its first days, how officials dealt with the families of victims and the injured, how the investigation was handled and blocked by dozens of lawsuits, and how the families responded: sit-ins, protests, and letters to the United Nations, the Human Rights Council in Geneva and the International Criminal Court. Its annexes reproduce the families' statements and letters.

Its conclusion: to this day, not one of the demands made by the families of the victims and the people affected has been met.
