Leila believed in Lebanon and in family ties. On August 4, 2020, she was home in Achrafieh with her daughter. As the explosion happened, hell broke loose at the house, and Leila was injured and evacuated to the hospital by her neighbors. Her son rushed to see her and identified her through her blooded shirt. She held his hand and looked him in the eyes for one last time. Leila died from internal bleeding.
