"ملاك الرحمة" ومتطوّعة. خَدَمَت المرضى وأسعفت الموجعين للتخفيف من آلامهم، ولم تنتظر حتى تُمدّ لها يد العون في بلدٍ لا يرحم أبناءه.

The youngest in her family, Mireille had two older sisters, Joyce and Sandra… She was the apple of her father’s eye, and her mother’s sweetheart. She grew up in Baysour, and attended Ecole Saint Joseph de l’Apparition in Saida. She went to Labaa public school for her high school years. She was a good student who was passionate about sports. She participated in scout camps and youth religious groups. She had an adventurous spirit, and a passion for serving others. Thus, she volunteered with the Lebanese Red Cross in Jezzine for seven years. For the same reason, she earned a nursing degree from the Lebanese University, and worked tirelessly for years afterwards.

“Miro”, as her friends call her, was known for her smile, happiness, and helpfulness. She wanted to earn her master’s degree, and establish a side personal business as an event planner. She was already making huge steps in that direction when her dreams were cut short.

يوم الثلاثاء الأسود، كادت ميراي تكون مع عائلتها، لو لم تُوافق على تبديل دوام عملها مع زميلة أخرى لمدّة 15 يوماً. كان اليوم الثاني من الأسبوع الثاني للتبديل، وكانت تُداوم في الطابق السادس حيث تعمل كمسؤولة عن قسم القلب في مستشفى القديس جاورجيوس- الروم. قُرع الجرس من الغرفة المقابلة لمكتب الإستقبال حيث كانت تقف مع زميلة لها، وتبعد عنها نحو 5 أمتار. نادوهما لمشاهدة الحريق المندلع في المرفأ كون غرفة المريض تُطلّ عليه، على ما تروي والدتها سيدة التي ذهبت وعاينت الموقع بعد الحادثة. ولم تكد تصل الى باب الغرفة حتى دوى الإنفجار الكبير.^th floor of Saint George Hospital where she was the head nurse of the cardiology department. They called them to see the fire at the Port of Beirut facing the patient’s room, according to her mother Sayde, who checked the floor after the explosion…

حاولت رفيقتها مع ممرّضين آخرين إنقاذها، غير أنّها لم تصمد أكثر من دقيقتين. لفظت أنفاسها الأخيرة على الفور. أنزلوها ونقلها الدفاع المدني الى مستشفى المشرق كون المبنى تدمّر في لحظة، لكنّها لم تتجاوب.

رحلت ميراي الممرّضة الجميلة المغامرة، التي لا تهدأ ولا تخشى شيئاً، في عزّ الشباب في مستشفى قدّم 4 ملائكة للرحمة على مذبح الوطن. كيفن إبن اختها جويس الذي يُحبّها كثيراً وكان يتلهّف للقائها عند عودتها من عملها لتلاعبه ويُسارع للنوم بقربها، يفتقدها اليوم وكذلك عائلتها التي تاقت لأن تزفّها عروساً لا أن تُصبح ملاكاً في السماء.
